100% Cabernet Sauvignon
This wine expresses its terroir 100%. A warm elegant wine, and at the same time fresh and clean”. Anders Vinding-Diers
Manuel Padorno - In both his poetic and pictorial work, Manuel Padorno always gives us a new way of feeling and perceiving “the outside world”. It is a vision capable of creating a new reality, far from the conventional and routine, based principally on the theme of light and the sea.
His book Canción atlántica [Atlantic Song] (2003) and his series of exhibitions Nómada urbano [Urban Nomad] (1969-1985) and Nómada maritime [Marine Nomad] (1985-2002) reflect his passion for architecture and the creation of a singular Atlantic cosmology, which includes his work Vaso de Luz, from which this exceptional wine takes its name.
Very intense picota cherry colour. Distinctive for its intensity on the nose. Concentrated, subtle and elegant. Creamy oak, varietal notes, ripe fruit and mineral. Complex on the palate, with mature tannins, and lingering finish.
Vaso de Luz is made only in exceptional years. The grape is carefully selected in the vineyard, from where it is transferred to the winery at night in small boxes. In the winery, it is placed in special tanks. Here we carry out one of the key processes for our wines, manual remontage or pumping over. This enables us to extract all the qualities the grape has accumulated over the year. Its fruity expression, its colour and its structure. Once the alcoholic fermentation is completed, the wine is transferred to barriques in which the malolactic fermentation takes place and in which it remains for 24 months.
